Annabella Roundabout, Mallow

The redesign of this roundabout provided an opportunity to create a significant entry threshold to County Cork and specifically Mallow town. The intention was to lend a strong identity to this edge of town space. Bright red steel lettering anchor the entrance to the town with a definite graphic character, affirming Mallow’s rebel history.

The sculptural elements are reinforced with complimentary looser planting flanking the approaches from the N20 and a mature Liquidambar Tree located centrally within the roundabout.
