Fermoy Hospital

Most modern hospitals are designed from a clinical efficiency perspective but ignore what Vitruvius describes as “delight’. This approach ignores the healing benefits of positively designed healthcare campuses and which is supported by a long history including Asian, Greek and Roman cultures.

Our design is based on contemporary research which treats the external environment as an essential component of healing and is extended to the creation of three garden rooms as well as a suspended walkway and was created for the client, a large healthcare provider in the south of the country.
